Back by Popular Demand: Save OOSH Information Session for Parent-Managed OOSHs

Network wants to thank all of the engaged parents, Educators, and concerned people from our OOSH communities that took time out to attend our Save OOSH webinar on Wednesday night, 22 July 2022. It was a productive evening where people on parent management committees had the opportunity to learn more about the policy change, the options and risks associated with the options available to their OOSH, the process that lays before the OOSH and the P&C, and what individuals can do to campaign to reverse the policy change.

There is no doubt that parents are angered by the policy change and deeply concerned about the future of their OOSHs and the OOSH Sector. To quote one concerned parent, “I do think this is really part of a broader privatisation strategy from the NSW govt.”. Network continues to fight against the corporatisation of the OOSH Sector at the hands of the Minister for Education and Early Learning, the Hon. Sarah Mitchell and the NSW Government.

Weren’t able to make it on Wednesday? Join us next month and learn more by registering below.

This webinar will focus on informing parents about the policy change, their options that result from the policy change (i.e. going to tender or the P&C model), and the steps they will need to take. With vacation care fast approaching, we are mindful of the needs of parents and their limited availability. As such, this webinar will be held in the evening.
