About the Role 
The Forestville Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a purpose-built 60 place preschool, we provide a range of learning experiences for children aged between 3 and 5 years. This role would encompass working within the preschool program commencing 10.00 am and then support up to 20 preschool children for an After School Care Programme from 3.30 – 6pm within the ELC.This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday – Friday from 9:54am to 6pm.  No working during the school holidays, instead you will be on paid leave!Duties Include

  • Working with an ECT in the planning, implementing, documenting, evaluating, and delivering of a preschool program for 3 to 5-year-old children.
  • Overseeing the after-school program for preschoolers in the afternoons
  • Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children.
  • Helping to maintain a safe, engaging and compliant environment.
  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families and other team members

The Successful Candidate will Have

  • Diploma Qualifications in Early Childhood Education (or 50% working towards).
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
  • Have completed CHCPRT025 or previous – Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care National regulations and National Quality Framework.
