About Us
Earlwood Caring for Kids Inc (ECFKI) is a vibrant, accredited 125 place, before and after school care service located within the Canterbury Bankstown area. We are run by a dedicated and committed volunteer Parent Committee who value and support our experienced team of eighteen staff. We operate from our own premises with an additional three large outdoor areas, nature playground & dedicated garden. We currently run two separate programs, kindy/year 1 & years 2-6. In the near future, we will also have a separate year 5/6 area and program.
We are currently seeking dedicated & enthusiastic people who love working with school aged children.
Role/Responsibilities
Permanent educators are the face of our centre and therefore play a vital role in quality service provision.
To build engaging and warm relationships with all children and families.
To work professionally & collaboratively with senior staff and fellow team members.
To plan fun and varied experiences with an emphasis on the My Time Our Place V2 outcomes, principles & practices.
To ensure a safe, clean and home like environment.
Position Requirements-
Current NSW Working with Children Check
Current First Aid Certificate, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate
Accredited Child Protection (or willing to obtain)
Food handling or Food Supervisor certificate (or willing to obtain)
Minimum Cert IV in school age care or equivalent
Minimum two years’ experience in OOSH or relevant child-related field
Comprehensive understanding of National Regulations, National Law, National Quality Framework & My Time Our Place V2
High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build engaging relationships with all stakeholders
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
The ability to plan & facilitate creative and age-appropriate activities, routines & experiences
An understanding & commitment to the child safe principles & practices
Minimum availability- 2 mornings and 5 afternoons.
