Community Junction is excited to invite applications for an OOSH Director & Educational Leader to lead the establishment of a brand-new OOSH service at Wollemi College, Werrington. This is a unique opportunity to shape both the operational foundations and the educational vision of a new service within a private boys college environment.

This 35-hour per week role offers a strong balance of on-the-floor leadership and generous administration and programming time. You will be closely supported by your Operations Manager who is an experienced Educator/ Director, ensuring guidance across compliance, service set-up and day-to-day operations, while allowing you to confidently engage with children, support educators and lead curriculum development.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Community Junction is deeply committed to inclusive, child-centred practice and strong community connections, supporting children aged 5–12 years in an OOSH-only setting.

About the role:

  • Lead the start-up and ongoing operation of a new OOSH service
  • Work with children aged 5–12 years in an OOSH-only setting
  • Be present with children while supported with meaningful admin time
  • Build a positive team culture and strong school partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and quality standards
  • This position is open to applicants of all genders

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an OOSH setting (essential)
  • ACECQA-approved qualification preferred (desired – not mandatory)
  • Certificate III in childcare qualification required
  • Confident, organised and enthusiastic about leadership and service development
  • Passionate about child-centred practice and community engagement
