We are looking for a Communication Officer (Graphic Designer) all rounder to join our team for a temporary contract of 3 months, starting immediately with a commitment of up to 21 hours per week.

Network of Community Activities, based in Ultimo, is a small yet effective organisation seeking someone with content-writing experience and graphic design.

This role will initially be until December 20th, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

As the recognised “PEAK” not-for-profit membership association for the Out of School Hours Sector (OOSH) in NSW, we play a vital role in our community.

In this position, you will be responsible for creating and implementing communications for our sector by developing engaging copy and designs across various platforms.

About you: As a designer, you will produce captivating graphics and layouts for online content that resonate with our members while adhering to deadlines. 
 

Additionally, you will:

  • Foster strong relationships with our team, members, and membership through a positive and proactive approach.
  • Showcase your skills in content writing and editing.
  • Have a keen interest in graphic design and stay updated on current trends.
  • A solid understanding of design principles, including colour, layout, and illustration, is essential.
  • To thrive in this role, you should possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Be an organised self-starter with strong collaboration and project management skills.
  • A positive, friendly team player attitude with the ability to take feedback constructively.
 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and delivering creative visual content, including layouts and other design elements.
  • Ensuring all design content aligns with our branding.writing and reviewing copy.
  • Assisting in the development of communication concepts for effective content delivery.
  • Creating communication materials for various platforms, including website imagery, event graphics, social media graphics, and presentations .
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to encourage collaboration and idea sharing.
  • Collaborating to design concepts that effectively convey the intended message to the target audience.
  • Produce designs that effectively communicate complex concepts and information in an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly manner.
  • Assisting with proofreading, copywriting, editing, and information gathering.
