Olivia Edwards

Project Officer – Member Support

Joining Network in 2023, Olivia has over 5 years experience working in the OOSH sector,
with 1 of those years holding the educational leader role at a 150 place centre. Her
passion for children’s development is a strong focus on why she pursues this role and she
is very excited for the opportunity assist OOSH services to nurture the minds of young
people; allowing them to grow and develop in an environment that is safe and secure.

Olivia holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, and has over 3 years experience working in
Mental Health Nursing in the Acute Care Setting, soon to embark in a Masters of Women
and Children’s Health. This has motivated her to understand the range of difficulties that
can seriously impact child and adolescent mental health and emotional wellbeing. Olivia is
passionate about the formation of trusting and reciprocal relationships, and encouraging a
space of inclusion and support.

In this role I strive to encourage, motivate and inspire fellow educators to provide the
highest quality care for all children within their service. Recognising the distinct
perspectives from each educator and utilising their skills in a strengths-based approach to
promote a space of continuous learning and security; with the aim to foster a culture of
hope, prosperity, and holistic wellbeing. This allows all children to feel a sense of
accomplishment and safety within their out of school care environment.

During her down time Olivia loves to go to the beach, reading books in the sand and
enjoying the waves. Although she loves to go out and see live bands with her partner,
Olivia also loves to spend time at home scrapbooking in the company of her 2 cats;
Magnolia & Frankie.
