This course will assist anyone working in OOSH services to gain the skills to identify and respond to children at risk. Participants will learn:

  • About the current laws for child protection in NSW and your legal obligations as a mandatory reporter.
  • How to Implement practices that aim to protect children and prevent risk of harm.
  • How to complete an MRG and understand their role as a Mandatory Reporters.

*Case studies and examples are relevant to the OOSH service context.
*Participants are required to successfully complete the assessment task within four (4) weeks to receive a Statement of Attainment.

This unit is useful for those who have an interest in learning and development and want to apply their skills in addressing development needs to meet team objectives in their service.
