OSHC Centre Coordinator

The Role:

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced and motivated Centre Director to lead a high quality OSHC service for up to 90 children aged between 5 – 12.  The community is at the heart of the organisation and Council puts its values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Compassion and Collaboration at the centre of everything that we do.

As a nominated supervisor, you are required to ensure that:

  • The service complies with all relevant requirements of the National Law and Regulations for Early Childhood Education and Care Services as well as ensuring that Council and Children and Family Services policies and procedures are implemented at all times.
  • That Council and Children and Family Services Policies and Procedures are implemented at all times.
  • The service meets the OSHC National Standards in relation to staff ratios and meets the National Quality Standard for OSHC.
  • Responsible for leading, supporting and mentoring the team to ensure that a high quality educational program is developed, implemented and documented to meet the ‘My Time Our Place’ school age care framework.
  • Ensure effective administrative and financial management of the service.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Primary Education (Certificate IV of School Age Education and Care/Diploma in School Age Education and Care) or OOSH at Associate Diploma level.
  • Current first aid certificate; and completion of approved course/s in anaphylaxis and asthma Management
  • Current working with children check and completion of an approved course in child protection.
  • Demonstrated and considerable experience working in an outside school hours care centre working with children aged 5-12 years.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate and inclusive OSHC programs; and working knowledge of the ‘My Time Our Place’ school age care framework.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Coordinator of an OSHC service
  • Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Experience working in culturally diverse communities
  • Ability to speak a second language.
  • Familiarity with Hubworks software package and/or childcare management systems.

Job Type:

Permanent Part-time

Salary:  

$76,252.80 pa – $85,410.00 pa + Superannuation (based on a 30-hour week)
