Information for Educators – it is a legal requirement

Casual Employee Definition

  • A casual employee is an Educator engaged for temporary and relief
  • A casual employee will be paid a minimum of two hours pay for each engagement
  • A casual employee may, by mutual agreement, be paid weekly or at the termination of each engagement.

Remember if an Educator has a regular pattern of work they are not considered CASUAL….
