Member Support Officer | Network of Community Activities

Permanent Part-Time

Minimum of 14 hours per week, with flexibility for the right candidate.

 

Description of Role

Help us deliver support and information to Educators working in Outside of School Hours Care.

You’ll play a pivotal role in producing written content and problem-solving complex issues for OOSH Services.

Collaborating closely with the Network team, you’ll be involved in planning, writing and reviewing our extensive range of information resources.

You’ll uphold our rigorous standards to make sure our information is accurate, up to date and accessible.

You’ll work on a mixture of digital and print resources, including webpages, toolkits, info sheets and booklets providing information on all aspects of Out of School Hours Care.

Your role will include responding to incoming telephone enquiries and emails from members.

 

About you

You’ll be skilled at developing content that’s clear and accurate.

You’ll be adept at making complex information digestible, and delivering it in the most appropriate format.

 

Skills Required

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework for Education and Care Services including the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard and My Time, Our Place
  • Awareness of other laws and regulations pertaining to Outside of School Hours Care
  • Ability to develop creative and engaging content for our Out of School Hours membership in a range of formats
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and/or Google Workspace
  • Outstanding planning and time management skills and rigorous attention to detail
  • Excellent and clear communication

  • Ability to read and make sense of a wide range of content,
  • Strong proof-reading and editing skills
  • Ability to innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before

  • Good organisation and time management skills.

Network of Community Activities (Network) is the peak representative body for Out of School Hours Care providers in NSW. Network is a recognised leader in the field of school age care and is the largest membership organisation in Australia dedicated to the advocacy, promotion, resourcing and development of play, recreation and leisure activities for 5-14 year olds.

Established in 1974, Network is one of the oldest not-for-profit peak bodies in the Australian Children’s Services sector.

Network strives to resource and facilitate OOSH Services to enrich, inspire and support children to engage in a play rich environment which helps them to thrive.

Network is the proud representative of New South Wales on the National Outside School Hours Services Alliance (NOSHSA), which represents the collective interests of OOSH Services across all States and Territories.

 

This role is based in our Ultimo office (10 minutes walk from Central Station).
