Management Matters – Changes to Management Committee

What are you required to do?

Many community-based, not-for-profit services will have recently had or will soon be holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Just a reminder that if members of your management committee change as a result of the AGM,  the Department of Education and Communities (DEC) must be notified in writing within 14 days of the change taking place.

Services are advised to submit the PA08 Notification of Change to Information About Approved Provider to DEC within 14 days.

As part of this, all new members will need to complete and submit a PA02 Declaration of Fitness and Proprietary to prove they are fit and proper for the role.

The National Law does not ask for details of all committee members – only those ‘persons in management or control ‘. These people are: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The department does not need to be given the details of general committee members.

A reminder that all the supporting documents need to be provided at the one time.
