When to call the ambulance?

Knowing when to call an ambulance is critical to working with children. Call an ambulance if the: -
  • Child is unconscious, semi-conscious or unusually confused.
  • Child’s airway is blocked.
  • Child is not breathing.
  • Child is having difficulty breathing, shortness of breath or is choking.

WWCC – Approved Providers phase in period: 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018

What to do during a disclosure from a child

REPORTABLE CONDUCT – Start the conversation

Section 25A(1) of the Ombudsman Act outlines 'reportable conduct. Reportable conduct is any sexual offence or sexual misconduct committed against, with or in the presence of a child. Organisations are required to notify the Ombudsman Office as soon as practicable or within 30 days if there are any occasions/or incidents that meet the reportable conduct.
