Adventure OSHC Blakehurst PS is hiring multiple OSHC Educators and a Full Time OSHC Coordinator

Adventure OSHC is part of the Fit Futures group, a sport coaching provider for primary aged children in Australia. As the result of this, our OSHC centres are run with the aim of assisting children to develop lifelong healthy habits in the area of nutrition and exercise. Our centres are community and child focussed and include comprehensive sporting, creative and educational programs for all children to enjoy. OSHC Coordinator – Full Time – Adventure OSHC Blakehurst PS

The role:

  • Permanent full-time role with a great work-life balance!
  • Report to the Area Manager.
  • Lead, mentor and guide a team of Educators to meet National Quality Standards and maintain an exceptionally rated service
  • Develop, maintain and implement an engaging, fun, safe and compliant program for children alongside the Area Manager.
  • Lead team to implement service’s daily activities
  • Supervise, support and engage with primary aged children
  • Devise, prepare and serve a healthy menu
  • Build and maintain meaningful personal relationships with families, children, the school and the wider community
  • Promote and nurture a positive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate administration and financial records of the Service

Essential criteria:

  • Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
  • Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one ASAP)
  • Current valid First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • Child Protection Training (Identify and Respond to Young People and Children at Risk)
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in a Children’s service
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a team
  • Ability to direct, develop, and implement an engaging program that is stimulating and of high-quality
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • Full availability Monday to Friday 7:00am – 9:30am and 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Monday to Thursday), 2:30pm – 6:00pm (Friday) and additional hours, where required. Note: hours will be provided on a shift basis.

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience using Xplor or other student enrolment software
  • Previous OSHC experience
  • Experience in running sports, games and activities

Remuneration:

Salary and employment conditions are made in accordance with the Children’s Services Award. We offer generous salary packaging and pay above the award rate.

OSHC Educators – Casual – Adventure OSHC Blakehurst PS (multiple positions available)

The role:

  • Report to the Centre Co-Ordinator and Area Manager.
  • Ensure the centre’s program is being executed in a fun, engaging, safe and meaningful way
  • Engage and support the children in their learning and through play
  • Supervising and interacting with primary aged children
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all children, staff, parents and guests
  • Build meaningful personal relationships with children, parents, the wider community and the school
  • Execute organised activities and games
  • Contribute to the centre’s program and planning

Essential criteria:

  • Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one ASAP)
  • Current valid First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Child Protection Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Experience working in a Children’s service
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • Availability on Monday to Friday 7:00am – 9:30am and 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Monday to Thursday), 2:30pm – 6:00pm (Friday) and additional hours, where required. Note: hours will be provided on a shift basis.
